What is Krav Maga?

Krav Maga is a self-defense system developed by the Israeli Military.  What makes this system unique is it’s focus on defensive reflexes and offensive attacks,  simultaneously.  Krav Maga combines techniques from Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Muay Thai and Jujitsu.

Is Krav Maga effective for self-defense?

Krav Maga is self-defense oriented.  The system was developed for self-defense, and every movement we learn, every technique is designed for self preservation. The art of Krav Maga is to dismantle any attacker that comes your way.

I’m not in shape, can I start training?

Don’t wait for fear of not being fit, willingness to learn and having the right mindset can go a long way.  The training and conditioning isn’t meant to be easier the more in shape you are, being more in shape means that you are stronger and have more endurance. So always strive to do better than you did the day before.

How can I prepare for my first class?

Show up, have fun, that’s it.  You will learn as you go! Don’t worry to much about what you should do before hand, just get yourself to that first lesson, everything’s easier after getting over the anxiety of attending that first lesson. Our instructors take a personal interest in mentoring every student on their journey, whatever your goal may be.

Why can’t I pay as I go?

We invest in every student that comes to us, from day 1. It is very important to us that every member will achieve his goals, and by that, the programs require commitment. We want you to achieve your goal. 

Do you train kids?

Yes, we train kids from ages 4 and up. Beyond the technical aspects, we focus on anti-bullying, and building self-confidence to give them the tools they need to respond to any verbal or physical encounter.
